Nepalese Nominations on British Asian Achievers Awards 2016

The widely anticipated British Asian Achievers Awards was hosted on 14th October at London”s Radisson Blu Hotel in a glittering gala event hosted by The Jagatwani Group (The first Hindi Newspaper in UK). Among the Nominations were Two Nepalese ,MR BIJAYA THAPA for Media sector and MR PASHUPATI BHANDARI for Hospitality sector.Though Both the nominees didn’t win the award, yet it was a proud moment for all Nepalese that Nepal was able to highlight its potential to the world in various fields.British Asian Achievers Awards which showcases ethnic achievements,talents and leadership in the UK were 100% right in getting these two people for nomination.Why? Mr Bijaya Thapa , the director and founder of Nepali TV -UK channel and IPTV ,is a well known figure in UK Nepalese community.He has been continuously dedicating his life (25 years in media)in providing Nepali TV services to people living outside Nepal.He has been in Mainstream media for decades and his Nepali channel was the first to broadcast outside Nepal.Since 2005 , Nepali TV has been providing its services and continuing that , Nepali TV has expanded its services to Internet TV with a slang Anywhere , Everywhere. Now many Nepalese can watch Nepali TV channels at comfort of their home. Secondly, Mr Pashupati Bhandari , Managing Director at Everest Inn Restaurant Group and Honorary Public Relations representative at Nepal Tourism Board, is also a well known personality in Hospitality sector whom have won UK Curry awards previously.His chain of restaurant is liked by people’s for its food, dining experience and it’s hospitality.He has been actively supporting various Nepalese Events in UK. Two different categories , yet both candidates are truly one in a million and deserving. It definitely inspires a lot people to do more though residing outside Nepal and make Nepal proud.Now !!!
